About me

Passion for game development.

I'm Hannes, game producer

I love all aspects of creating games: Be it art, design, business, tech or management. Having been a part of various industry, personal, and school projects has allowed me to develop and sharpen my abilities as a producer & Agile PM. I have explored XR, PC, and Android platforms using Unity, Unreal Engine, and more. On projects both for B2B as B2C clients.

I enjoy enabling projects and teams to successful deliveries by combining PRINCE2 and/or Agile (Scrum) practices with a strong holistic understanding of game development. Being a self-starting challenge seeker with the desire to solve problems often leads me to contribute to internal improvements and advocating to adapt new technologies. My past career in logistics resulted in having a strong eye for deadlines, structure & efficiency, whilst being thorough in everyday tasks. Traits that allow me to be pro-active and risk-managing.
I believe a good producer is also a good coach, thus I focus extra on working with teams to create a stable & safe teamflow and culture. Ultimately, my goal is to always deliver the project on time, with exceptional quality.

Currently based in Ghent, Belgium. I have Majored in Independent Game Production from Howest University. I switched a successful career in logistics to follow my passion for game development.

Aside from playing and creating (indie) games, I'm infatuated by car cultures around the world & Motorsport. I love listening to music whilst imagining new ideas & stories. I'll boot up a social game when I have some free time, or go for an intense workout to let up some steam.

Follow-up of a VR live-service project in an agile development cycle. I assisted the follow up of several B2B projects, and provided planning/budgeting for future projects.

I operated using Jira, Confluence, and more. I created tickets, epics, filters, and assisted with ticket review and prioritization. I applied professional communication (internal & external), guided team stand-ups, and performed critical playtests.

I added to internal development by restructuring and enriching the knowledge base. I created propositions for software adaptation, pipeline improvements, store bundles, and foreign market product price points.
